1.You’re Stressed Out

Between your kids, your job, your family, and even traffic, your stress level could easily soar through the roof. When you start fuming with frustration, your body produces the chemical Cortisol, which signals your body to hold onto fat, particularly in your midsection.

What To Do: Release the pressure valve. When your kids are annoying, your boss is demanding, or you’re driving behind a clueless driver, take a deep breath. Take a minute to take three slow breaths to calm the chemicals and ease your emotions.

2. You’ve Plateaued

If you have been exercising for a while it can feel incredibly frustrating if your body fat won’t budge. Here’s the deal. Your body becomes efficient when it gets used to the same routine. It doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong, but it does mean you need to do something different.
