I would love to tell you that I walk through my day with total confidence and absolute certainty that everything I’m doing is getting me one step closer to an ultimate goal. The reality is that thinking about some “ultimate goal” feels incredibly overwhelming.
Just like my workouts, my greatest success comes when I take small actions every day. That’s what works for me. And when I feel defeated by injuries or aches and pains or tight pants, I have to remember, I have another shot. This minute. Not tomorrow or next year, this minute.
Whether with career or relationships or fitness, forget perfection. If that’s the standard, I’ll always fail. If I focus on taking action, I always have a shot. Quitting? Not an option!
