Do you look in the mirror to decide how you feel about yourself? I wake up in the morning and instinctively look in the mirror. Turn to each side, searching for the best angle. Do I see all the interesting, quirky things about me or do I see my flaws? Honestly, that depends on the day. Evaluating is a natural part of being human. But what we can do is notice the critiques and not take them all so seriously. Take the next right action. Take care of ourselves and let go of the exhausting judgment. Over time, the more I focus on my workouts, my form, my routine, the less I worry about the mirror. I find myself laughing freely, listening more, and forgetting myself and my body. That is true freedom. So when you walk by the mirror today, can you smile, appreciate the body you have, see the positives, and lighten up? I know I am working on this, one day at a time.
