At a recent event, a friend of the family asked me about my website. “What is it that you have? Some video site?” I paused for a second to consider how much to share. “Yes, I have videos on my site. I share inspiration and encouragement on food and exercise. I offer workouts that people can do from their mobile devices or computers.” I stopped.
“I should do your workout routines.” She let out a sigh and quickly changed the subject.
Creating any new routine is challenging. We all have our rituals we do from the moment we wake up to the minute we crawl into bed. To suggest that we carve out 30 minutes to exercise sounds easy in theory, but takes time, willingness, and practice to make a reality.
It starts by shifting our thinking from exercising when we have “extra time” to making exercise central to our day. Wait. Hear me out. I know we have a ton of priorities already, including jobs, kids, relationships, family, not to mention cleaning the house, food shopping, etc. It’s exhausting. That’s why we need to be at the top of our game. So we have the stamina, focus, excitement, and wonderment to do all these things that may otherwise feel mundane.
Yes, I am asking that you move exercise to the top of the list. Purely for the reason that when we take care of ourselves first, we are better able to take care of everything and everyone else in our lives.
So where do you start? I believe with all my heart that every one of us deserves to feel good physically, emotionally, and mentally with a doable, effective workout that fits into our lives. That’s why I created a daily calendar of C3 Workouts that are available directly from GrooveAnywhere.com. There are no DVDs to purchase, nothing to download.
So your challenge this week, if you choose to accept it, is to decide which 30 minutes are for you. Then, Join Now and Press Play!
